anarchic theory of knowledge which forms the basis for synthetic modernism. In
Against Method he created a synthesis of the most tenable parts of the
philosophies of Thomas Kuhn and Sir Karl Popper the whole seasoned with
ideas from intellectual sparring matches with his old friend Imre Lakatos.
